Terri Butler is a native of Savannah, Georgia. She was a stay home mom who raised 6 children and has 7 grandchildren. Terri waited until her children were grown before attending college and entering the professional work force. Family is very important to her, and she draws from a lifetime of wisdom and experience, as well as education, to help others heal and recover from emotional pain. Therapy is about change and growth. Terri is dedicated to helping clients gain the strength and the skills they need to accomplish their mental health goals.

Terri completed a bachelor’s degree in 2015 and master’s degrees in 2018; both from Liberty University. Terri has been working in the mental health field for over 7 years and has been a Licensed Professional Counselor Since May 2022. She has experience working with children, adolescents, individuals, families, and couples. Terri has experience in forensic counseling such as working with adults and juveniles on probation, and helping families navigate and follow the requirements of court orders including co-parenting, and supervised visitation. Terri uses an eclectic approach by utilizing interventions from a variety of therapeutic approaches. Terri is skilled in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Psychoeducation, Grief and Loss, and Mindfulness. Terri also has strong skills in Biblical Counseling using scriptural authority.

Terri has a passion for working with women and believes in taking time to build a strong therapeutic relationship. She believes in helping women find their identity and reach their potential by developing a healthy, positive self-image. Terri takes a strengths-based approach to build hope and resilience with clients who are struggling with low self-confidence caused by depression, anxiety, or past trauma.
